Abstract
Deep neural networks have become state-of-the-art technology for a wide range of practical machine learning tasks such as image classification, handwritten digit recognition, speech recognition, or game intelligence. The main attractiveness of this approach is that it provides good approximation of a wide range of functions and function classes used in many applications. Therefore, we should treat deep neural network as an engineering tool for the design and operation of future wireless communications networks. In this talk, we will explore the use of deep learning in some difficult problems in wireless communications and networks and share my personal perspective why such an approach makes sense. In addition, we will share some other preliminary work in this area.
